Fall has arrived... but don't panic

How to keep the wellness goals on track when we are halfway through the second half of the year...

We are NOT running out of time... Take a deep breath and believe when I say you are NOT running out of time.

Looking at the last part of the year’s upcoming celebrations can increase our anxiety by 1000%, and how not to? We have Thanksgiving and Christmas and New Years and if we visualize it the first picture we will see is all the food, desserts and drinks.

We can also see each other exhausted trying to add a gazillion things in our to do lists, at work we get that directive “final push”, our kids go on vacation, family members start planning reunions and all of it makes us agitated, and mentally and physically tired… with all this is very easy to say: Well I will resume on January 1st.

But is important to continue our pursuit to wellness. That NOW we start planning ahead how we will continue to take care of ourselves. We should continue to give ourselves time to exercise or meditate, to continue our hobbies and crafts, to listen to our favorite podcasts or watch our favorite shows, to continue to attempt to sleep those 6.5 to 7 hours, or to continue with our healthy eating habits . We need to do our best to avoid shortcuts in which the only one being shortcutted is us.

So plan ahead. Update your calendars and agendas ahead. Love yourself ahead.

January 1st will thank you.
